The Ministry of the Interior and Local Authorities on Tuesday launched an internship program for 280 students from different public and private universities. The students will be divided in 140 municipalities of the country [2 per municipality] and will have the opportunity to work on the development, implementation and monitoring of project. Ronsard St Cyr, the Minister of the Interior and Local Authorities promised that the most successful students will have the chance to join the government. Installation of New Director General of MDE This Monday, August 20, 2012, in the presence of Secretary of State for Environment, of the Engineer André Gédéon and of several parliamentarians, the Professor Kenn Duval, was installed as the new Director General of the Ministry of the Environment (MDE). n his speech, Kenn Duval stated that our country has many environmental problems and reiterated his commitment and unlimited support to the Secretary of State and the Minister, the Dr. Jean Vilmond Hilaire, to cope with all the difficulties that confronts the environment in Haiti. Orlando : phone line 24/24 in Creole The Consulate of Haiti in Orlando informs the Haitian Community in its jurisdiction that of Central Florida in particular, that following a meeting between the head of the Mission, Consul Laurent PROSPER, and the Head of the Orlando Police Department, Chief Paul ROONEY, it was decided to set up a hotline open 24 hrs with a message in Creole to the provision of the Haitian community.
