The Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE), informs the members of the Haitian diaspora, eager to return to live permanently in Haiti, that they can benefit of customs facilities, through a certificate of transfer of residence issued by the mayor of the municipality or county, where they lived before their departure. End of the criminal assizes of Port-au-Prince The criminal assizes with and without assistance of a jury, who have begun July 16, 2012, in Port-au-Prince, ended Friday, August 10. 75 cases were heard. During these assizes 45 convictions were made, 4 acquittals, 18 case have been placed on hold and 9 hearings suspended including that of Director General of the Office of Insurance Against Third (OAVCT). The next assizes of Port-au-Prince are scheduled in December. It was there 221 years August 14, 2012 brings the 221st anniversary of the ceremony of Bois-Caïman. According, Arbuste Victor oordinator of the event, of excursionsto touristic sites, to discover the tourism potential of Corail (Grand Anse, near Jérémie) and many festive activities expect the visitors : theater competition and of music troubadour, canoe races, fair books with the presence of a score of Haitian writers, conferences debates and other cultural activities.
