Haiti - News : Some news here and there... 23/06/2012 13:46:33 The Directorate of Control and Monitoring of the Ministry of Tourism has just completed the training of 10 young people for the identification and categorization of existing tourist facilities in order to have an update of its database. On the other hand, a contact was made with Mr. N'Fa Ousmane Camara, the Honorary Consul of Haiti to Guinea to study the possibility of twinning between Guinea and Haiti in the tourism sector. New Agency to replace the IHRC The Administration Martelly-Lamothe plans to create a new structure to manage the funds pledged by the international community. The Agency will depend of Ministry of Planning and will be responsible for technical aspects and the identification of priority programs and projects of the State. The agency will replace the Interim Commission for the Reconstruction of Haiti (IHRC). Assistance of the Bolivarian Republic The Haitian Government received this week a lot of materials including beds, mattresses, blankets, generators, food kits and other items, from the Bolivarian Republic. These materials from Venezuela, were transported on board a ship of the Venezuelan army and delivered to the local Ministry of Defence. Rodolphe Joazile, the Minister of Defence thanked the Government of Venezuela for "this new gesture of solidarity that is part of a strong habit of mutual understanding and historical friendship between the two countries," that will allow Haiti to better deal with the critical natural situations. Thierry Mayard Paul, in Cap-Haitien Friday, Cap-Haitien, has received the community-based program of decentralization Katye Pa'm Poze (KPP). Me Thierry Mayard-Paul, the Minister of the Interior took the opportunity to met the CASEC and ASEC of North as well as the Departmental Delegate of North.
