Celebration of Flag Day in Guadeloupe
To mark the 209th anniversary of Haitian bicolor, "Mouvman Lakay", in partnership with the Consulate of Haiti in Guadeloupe invites this Friday, May 18, 2012, the Haitian community, to "Nou pwal Dézolé", on the the Esplanade of the Tourist Office of Abymes. From 10:30am to 1:00pm will take place an exhibition of paintings, sculptures, works of Haitian art, photos discoveries. Haitian meals may be purchased. From 1:00pm there will be a show : parade marching band, corps of honor, animation, dance (Bony Joseph), poetry, songs, Ambiskad, Styll Dozz, Familly Band, Mr Rachla, DJ Didi Love... "In Unity and Peace, Hoist our Bicolor, Walk towards the future..."

Brazil confident in the new Government
In a note the Brazilian Foreign Ministry, said welcome the conclusion of the training process of the new government of Haitian President Michel Martelly. Brazil "expresses its confidence that the guarantee provided by the Haitian Parliament to the ministerial cabinet and to the orientation of the general policy of the new Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, will allow the intensification of efforts to develop the country."

Electronic voting, an idea well received
Sauveur Pierre-Etienne, Coordinator General of the Organization of Struggling People (OPL) welcomes the idea of the Prime Minister, to integrate electronic voting in elections in Haiti. He is convinced that the use of this technology will not only modernize the electoral process but encourage the publication of the first results of the vote in the hours after the polls closed. The Pastor Chavannes Jeune, abounds in the same direction, while recognizing that there is no perfect system, he believes that electronic voting will significantly reduce the possibility of fraud.

Flag Day: Jérémie, faithful to the rendezvous
The Permanent Committee of realization of festivities of May 18, Flag Day and the university, invites you to a week of events from 12 to 20 May 2012, to which will attended 89 schools, 40 parade groups (cheerleaders, brigades, Kiros and scouts) + DJ and 4 fanfares, and other activities such : Fair racing canoes, of wheelbarrows, sports games, cruise, Poetry Contest on the flag and march at Flambeau.

Raul Castro congratulated our new Prime Minister
The President Raul Castro, congratulated the new Prime Minister of Haiti, Laurent Lamothe, which keeps his position as Minister of Foreign Affairs. In his message, the Cuban leader has reaffirmed its commitment to further strengthen the friendly ties of cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
