Frankétienne selected for the Literary Award Prince Pierre de Monaco
The Literary Council, of the Foundation, Prince Pierre of Monaco, chaired by the Princess of Hanover Caroline of Monaco, met Wednesday [at the Grand Vefour in Paris], to select 5 writers for the literary prize of the Foundation, which will awarded on October 2. Among them Frankétienne, the Haitian writer [who celebrated his 76th birthday last April 12] and the writers Victor-Lévy Beaulieu ; René de Ceccaty ; Jean-Paul Kauffmann and Alain Mabanckou. Created 60 years ago, the Literary Prize Prince Pierre of Monaco, with an envelope of 15.000 euros, honors a writer of French expression for lifetime achievement.

Edwin Zenny requires explanation of the State
The Senator Edwin Zenny requires explanation of the Haitian state, concerning the financing of MAM (Movement to support the Majority) a pro-Martelly organization in Jacmel, led by former mayor OPL of the city. 37 Haitian boat-peoples repatriated to Cap-Haitien
Thursday, the crew of the Cutter Dependable of the U.S. Coast Guard repatriated 37 Haitian migrants to Cap Haitien. This group of boat-peoples, had been intercepted at sea Monday "The Coast Guard strongly advises against taking to sea in an attempt to illegally enter the United States," said Capt. Brendan McPherson, 7th Coast Guard District chief of enforcement. "Taking to sea in an unseaworthy vessel with little or no safety gear needlessly places human lives at risk [...]"

Digicel award a score of "Pap PADAP"
Friday the phone company Digicel has awarded a score of "Pap PADAP" (resellers of phone minutes) by giving them each a motorcycle for their outstanding contributions to the development of the company. Digicel has about 65.000 "Pap PADAP" that every day in Haiti, sell the products of Digicel.

Martelly speaks of Lamothe

ONA honors Barbancourt
Friday, during the inauguration of the new headquarters of the National Office Old Age Insurance (ONA), Thierry Gardère, the CEO of the company Barbancourt received of the ONA a plaque in tribute to the 46 years of affiliations of Barbancourt to the ONA.
