33% of women in the new Ministerial Cabinet
On the 18 ministries announced, 6 are run by women. These are the Ministries of : Status of Women and Women's Rights (Minister reappointed : Yanick Mézil) ; of Human Rights and the fight against extreme poverty (New Minister : Marie Carmelle Rose Anne Auguste) ; of Economy and Finance (New Minister : Marie Carmelle Jean-Marie) ; of the Planning and External Cooperation (New Minister : Josépha Raymond Gauthier ) ; of the Public Health and Population (reappointed Minister : Florence Duperval Guillaume) and of Tourism (Minister reappointed : Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin).

Cuba is committed to increasing fish production in Haiti
The Cuban Ambassador in Port-au-Prince, Ricardo Garcia, visited the station of Pont Sondé (Dept. Gonaïves), accompanied by the marine biologist, Daniel Alvarez and Juan Carlos Chang, veterinarian specializing in aquaculture. The station Pont Sondé has 7 ponds, where are produced the alevins used to lake enrichment of different departments, for the production of fish, a food in high demand in Haiti. Cuban specialists in aquaculture, have pledged to increase production of fish in lakes and reservoirs of different departments of Haiti.

Rosny Desroches, Executive Director of the Civil Society Initiative (ISC) ​​considers coherent the creation of a Ministry for the fight against extreme poverty in Haiti (New Minister : Marie Carmelle Rose Anne Auguste), with the statement of General Policy, which intends to make of social action a priority.
