The Consulate General of Haiti in New York wants to keep Haiti green and beautiful
According to the Secretariat of the General Consulate of the Republic of Haiti in New York, the Consulate has the challenge to plant approximately 300.000 trees across Haiti [in memory of the disappeared of Jan. 12, 2010]. Mr. Charles Antoine Forbin, Consul General, is in talks with Mr. Hebert Docteur, the Minister of Agriculture, as to the location of these trees, and the best species to plant. This initiative of the Consul General meets the policy "keep Haiti green and beautiful" established by the established by President Michel Martelly. Consulate appeals to your compassion and invites all interested people to contribute to this project, to visit the website, Facebook and Twitter of the Consulate and other media for more information.

A special Thursday mizik Troubadour
The French Institute in Haiti invites you to dance on the ively music of the troubadours du group BOULPIK, this Thursday, April 19, at 7pm [Free Admission]. Founded in the neighborhood of Delmas 4, by musicians from the province of Grand Anse, the group BOULPIK existed since 2004. Like all the troubadours, it perform both in the private parties, weddings, birthdays, communions, and hotels, including : Visa Lodge, Le Plaza, Kaliko Beach. This Group has the particularity of including two banjos, in addition of a singer, a drummer, a player of claves (kaskayèt) and another to marimbula (manouba).

The PNH took courses in Dominican Republic
A dozen members of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) visited the Dominican Republic to take a course on "Identification and fight against drugs" given by Dominican experts of the National Anti-Drug (DNCD), led by Major General Rolando Rosado. This course is part of the outreach program of the officers of office of the drug from both countries, aimed at strengthening actions and information exchange to improve and develop further actions against drug trafficking and related offenses in the Dominican Republic and in Haiti. Haitian police officers have also visited the Centre Anti-Drugs (DICAN), where they received information about the different services working in this agency.

National Day of School Statistics
The Ministry of National Education inform all educational agents and departmental Directors, Inspectors and Directors of schools in particular that it was decided to establish on April 20 a national day of school statistics. This initiative is part of a new strategy for data collection on schools, in order to produce on a regular basis, school statistics throughout the country. The Ministry asks to all the actors concerned, to make arrangements for the success of this day and precise to the attention of the Directors, that they must be present on the day indicated and complete the data collection on their school, because it is an obligation towards the Ministry.
