Last Tuesday, Hébert Docteur, he Minister of Agriculture, went to the sugar factory of Darbonne (Léogâne) - for the beginning of the Zafra (harvest of sugar cane). The objective of the zafra this year is 60.000 metric tons of crushed sugar cane, producing 36.360 bags of sugar, 15.360 barrels of syrup et 165.000 kilowatts of electricity. Thanks to this opening, there will be 1.800 direct jobs and 1,500 indirect beneficiaries. The Mayor of Port au Prince is dismissed and that's it ! The President Michel Martelly said on Monday that the decision to refer the municipal team of Port-au-Prince will be executed independently of the will of the mayor revoked, to remain at his post. Responding to a question from a reporter the Head of State said that this decision will be respected, stating that it is the government who has revoked stressing that "when the State dismissal from office an individual, he does it and that's it, the rest may be misunderstanding." The mission will also study the possibility of creating a youth orchestra. The Wayúu Tayá Foundation has already proven itself in Latin America, Venezuela and Colombia.
