iciHaiti - Politic : Prime Minister meets with representatives of displaced persons camps
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, accompanied by Ministers Bertrand Sinal (Health), Georges Wilbert Franck (Social Affairs), Herwil Gaspard (Minister Delegate for Solidarity and Humanitarian Affairs), as well as the Directors General of the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) and the National Directorate of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DINEPA), held a meeting with representatives of displaced persons camps to promote a more humane, supportive, and coordinated response to the displacement crisis.

This meeting allowed the highest government authorities to reaffirm their commitment to their compatriots forced to live in precarious conditions, far from their homes. "The State will not abandon you," the Prime Minister firmly declared, urging each member of his team to fully assume their responsibilities, while issuing a vibrant call for national solidarity. "Institutions, citizens, and camp representatives : we must unite our efforts to improve the daily lives of displaced persons."

Listening to the concerns expressed : access to drinking water, infant care, sanitation, distribution of hygiene kits, and strengthening security, the Prime Minister gave clear instructions to the Ministers and Directors concerned for a rapid and concrete response to these emergencies.

But beyond immediate assistance, Fils-Aimé reiterated, "Supporting the displaced, yes. But our ultimate goal is to restore the security necessary to allow them to return to their homes and families, with dignity."
