Ms. Niola Lynn Sarah Dévalis Octavius, Minister of Youth, presented checks on February 6, 2025 to 300 young people aged 18 to 25 involved in the "Social Support Program for Youth for Peace and Security" (PASOJEPS), having signed a commitment pact for Peace and security in their communities on July 12, 2024.

As part of this program, they were entitled to training led by trainers from the Ministry on themes related to the 3 axes of the Ministry : youth, sports and civic action. The aim was to make these young people true artisans of Peace and community development with the direct objective of duplicating the training to young people in their respective communities during the three months of youth.

Michelson Charlotin, from the Ministry's Youth and Integration Department, stressed the urgency and relevance of the program in the target areas and neighborhoods. "We need young people, given the context in which we operate, who are capable of working for community development, security and peace [...] We believe that by working on the three axes of the Ministry we can train young people for peace and development..."

The check presentation ceremony is the culmination of the efforts made by the Minister, who was very satisfied with the commitment of young people in their communities. Minister Octavius ​​warmly thanked the trainers who worked on the training and specified that the checks are all for the same amount, fifty-three thousand two hundred and fifty Gourdes (53,250.00).
