iciHaiti - Elections : Involvement of young people in the democratic process
Niola Lynn Sarah Dévalis Octavius, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action (MJSAC) participated last week at the Montana Hotel in a forum organized by the Association of Volunteers for Democracy (AVD), aimed at raising awareness and engaging young people in the democratic process.

Invited to speak at this forum, Minister Octavius reaffirmed her Ministry's commitment to supporting young people in the noble mission of contributing to the building of a country of justice, peace and security.

She called on young people to get involved in order to become agents of change, the guardians of our institutions and the builders of our future "Dare to dream big, dare to act boldly and dare to believe in a better future... Don't let anyone make you doubt your ability to transform our Nation..." insisted the Minister.

Placed under the theme "Resuming elections in Haiti, an absolute necessity for democracy and security", this forum which promoted the active participation of young people in the democratic process, joins the initiatives already taken by Minister Octavius urging Haitian youth to commit to security, peace and community development.
