The "OL Plus" blog has just distributed the good points for the most sparkling Lyon players over the past year. Without much surprise, Melchie Dumornay aka "Corventina" was acclaimed by the fans of the Fenottes (ladies in the Lyon language). "Corventina" was voted best Player of the Year and best progression of the OL women's team for her exploits in 2024. As for the women's team, Melchie Dumornay had already finished second best recruit after her first months in the colors of Lyon, and this year again the Haitian international made a real raid. The Fenottes' bib number 6 was voted best player of the year ahead of American midfielder Lindsey Horan and Canadian defender Vanessa Gilles. "Corventina" also won the Lyon d'Or for the best OL women's progression, this time ahead of Alice Sombath and Ellie Carpenter. As if that were not enough, our Grenadière is also present in the list of favorite players of the Olympique Lyonnais fan base. Behind Ellie Carpenter, Daniëlle Van de Donk, Vanessa Gilles and Eugénie Le Sommer, "Corventina" ranks 5th among the public's favorites. These distinctions come to close a year that was certainly difficult, but very accomplished both individually and collectively.
