iciHaiti - FAd’H : Text and reporting competition, Registration open 09/11/2024 08:54:51
Students are invited to submit their texts directly to the office of the Ministry of Defense, located at the Champ de Mars, 5th floor of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry building, while journalists must submit their broadcast report and the broadcast link by email to secretariatmd@md.gouv.ht For students, the topic to be covered is "The role of the Armed Forces of Haiti in building a better Nation" Journalists, for their part, will address the theme "Armed Forces of Haiti : challenges, hopes and patriotic commitment". The works will be evaluated according to their relevance, the originality of the ideas, the clarity and quality of the argumentatio for the reports, the informative impact. The winners of this competition will be honored during an awards ceremony scheduled for December 10, 2024. In addition to public recognition, the best contributions will be published or broadcast in order to raise public awareness of the missions and values of the Armed Forces of Haiti. For any additional information : + 509 31 53 67-82 Deadline for registration : November 21, 2024 Criteria for journalists (Reports) : Eligibility criteria : - Be a journalist accredited by a media in Haiti. - Age : between 18 and 35 years old. Theme : - Forces Years of Haiti: Challenges, Hopes and Patriotic Commitment Language : - The report can be presented in French or Creole. Format: - Type of content : written, audio or audiovisual report. - Line spacing : 1.5. Justified text for written reports. - Duration for audio reports : 3 minutes - Duration for audiovisual reports : 3 minutes. Evaluation criteria : - Accuracy and verifiability of information. - Clarity and narrative quality. - Originality of the angle and treatment of the subject. - Informative impact and public engagement. Submission : - The report must be published before submission. - Provide the link for broadcasting or publishing the report. - Contents must be sent by email to : secretariatmd@md.gouv.ht. Presentation criteria : - First and last name of the journalist. - Name and contact details of the media. - Title of the report. - Contact details (email and telephone number). - Adequate format : Online files must comply with the technical specifications provided (format, resolution). Additional criterion : Broadcasting rights : By submitting their reports, journalists agree that the Ministry may rebroadcast their productions for awareness-raising or promotional purposes, in agreement with the media. Criteria for students (Texts) : Eligibility criteria : - Be an undergraduate student enrolled in a recognized academic institution in Haiti. - Age : between 18 and 35 years old. Subject : - The role of the Haitian Forces in building a better Nation. Language : The text must be written in French or Creole. Format : - Number of pages : 3 pages. - Sheet size : 8 1/2 x 11. - Font : Times New Roman, size 12. - Line spacing : 1.5, justified text. Evaluation criteria : - Relevance and depth of content in relation to the subject. - Originality of ideas. - Organization and structure of the text (introduction, development, conclusion). - Clarity of argument and coherence. - Linguistic quality (spelling, grammar, syntax). Submission : - Texts must be printed and submitted in paper version to the Ministry of Defense reception. - Strict deadline for submissions, no late submissions will be accepted. Presentation criteria : - Name of the academic institution. - Title of the text. - Contact details (email and telephone number). Additional criteria : - Originality of the subject : Prohibition on using texts or works previously submitted in other competitions or academic assessments. - References and bibliography : A short bibliography or list of references must be included at the end of the document to strengthen the credibility of the information. - Publication rights : By participating, students agree that their text may be published or shared by the Ministry, subject to mention of the author.
