iciHaïti - Training : Departure of the first group of FAd'H soldiers for Martinique (Video)
Sunday, November 3rd, 2024, Antoine Michon, French Ambassador to Haiti alongside Jean Marc Berthier Antoine, Minister of Defense, welcomed the departure of the first group of Haitian soldiers who will receive training in Martinique.

This is a first step in cooperation between the French armed forces and the FAd'H, for security in Haiti, following the visit last September of Lieutenant Colonel Pierre, Nicolas Laoufi, Non-Resident Defense Attaché for Haiti, who went to Port-au-Prince to discuss the establishment of military training in Martinique for the benefit of the Haitian armed forces.

It should be recalled that also in September, two experts from the RAID Martinique branch supervised training sessions for the benefit of specialized units of the Haitian National Police (PNH). 20 snipers, 50 operators and 6 instructors belonging to the Brigade of Research and Intervention (BRI), the Intervention Group of the National Police of Haiti (GIPNH), the SWAT, the Temporary Anti-Gang Unit (UTAG), the Office for the Fight against Drug Trafficking (BLTS), the Brigade for the Fight against Vehicle Thefts (BLVV) and the Border Police (PoliFRONT) had participated in two training sessions on intervention techniques in hostile environments https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-43347-haiti-news-zapping.html .

"Today [Sunday], 25 of our soldiers are flying to Fort-de-France for advanced training. Several dozen others will soon follow them in Mexico, Argentina, and elsewhere [...]" declared the Minister of Defense
