iciHaïti - Politic : Between women decision-makers 21/10/2024 10:02:50
As part of strengthening cooperation between the Ministry for the Status of Women and Women's Rights (MCFDF) and its partners, Marie Françoise SUZAN, the Minister for the Status of Women, organized a working session "Between women decision-makers" which brought together women in decision-making positions to discuss, among other things : women's political participation, the issue of gender-based violence and women's empowerment. They also discussed the mechanisms to be adopted in order to effectively respond to the needs of women in vulnerable situations in the humanitarian context. The event was attended by Ministers Ketleen FLORESTAL (Economy and Finance and Planning), Niola Lynn Sarah Devalis OCTAVIUS, (Youth), Maria Noel VAEZA Regional Director of UN Women in Haiti, Marie Goretti NDUWAYO Resident Representative and Sophie HAVYARIMANA, Deputy Representative both of UN Women in Haiti and Susana SOTTOLI, Regional Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), IH/ iciHaiti
