ici Haiti - IOM : Thousands of deported Haitians arrive in vulnerable conditions 20/10/2024 09:05:29 International Organization for Migration (IOM) staff witness the precarious conditions in which many arrive, with limited access to food, shelter or basic services. Families are separated and many migrants, including women, children and the elderly, return home with little or no support. IOM is present at the border and offers family reunification, psychosocial support, medical assistance and referral services but reiterates that donor support is essential to continue. IOM is committed to ensuring that these deportees receive urgent humanitarian assistance, including medical care and psychosocial support. IOM is working around the clock to assess protection risks and provide critical assistance to those in need. However, the challenges remain immense and the need for coordinated responses and increased support is greater than ever. IH/ iciHaiti
