iciHaïti - Zombies, death is not an end ? : Exhibition assembly (video)
The delegation of the National Bureau of Ethnology (BNE), led by Erol Josué "Hougan" (spiritual leader of the Voodoo religion) and Director General of the National Bureau of Ethnology (BNE) is in France for the assembly of the exhibition "Zombies : Death is not an end ?" which will be held from October 8, 2024 to February 16, 2025 on the East Mezzanine of the Musée du quai Branly-Jacques Chirac in Paris (France).

This event highlights Haitian culture, in particular the myths and traditions related to Voodoo, which play a crucial role in Haitian national identity.

The exhibition, at the crossroads of art and anthropology, reveals the multiple facets of Haitian mythology through works by artists who draw inspiration from Voodoo symbols and rituals to create sculptures and cultural objects. These creations offer a rich and nuanced perspective on this cultural practice. In addition, archaeological objects will allow the public to delve into the history of Haiti and discover aspects of the experiences of their ancestors.

This project is the result of a partnership between the BNE and the Musée du quai Branly Jacques Chirac, aimed at promoting and preserving Haitian heritage. The exhibition aims to raise public awareness of the diversity and depth of Haitian culture while promoting intercultural dialogue.
