Digicel announces to its customers, partners and the general public that its technicians have completed repairs on the international fiber optic cable damaged following an act of sabotage https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-43255-haiti-news-zapping.html , since September 14 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-43221-haiti-digicel-failure-detected-on-an-international-submarine-cable-against-a-backdrop-of-litigation.html , and that all its services have been completely restored since Sunday, September 22 at 2:00 a.m.

Digicel would first like to thank its loyal customers who have shown patience, support and above all understanding following this incident of vandalism. The company also expresses its gratitude to its technicians and its partner Cable & Wireless who have made considerable efforts to carry out the repairs.

Digicel also thanks the State authorities and particularly the Presidential Council, the Prime Minister's Office, the Ministry of Public Works and Telecommunications, the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, Conatel, the National Police and the media for their support during this incident

We want to reassure all our customers that we will continue compensation and reimbursements, and will communicate everything during the coming week.

Reacting to this good news, Prime Minister Conille said "Thank you to the Haitian National Police (PNH) and the justice system for their rapid intervention to support DIGICEL in restoring its services. Access to the internet is an essential pillar for the national economy, security, social and humanitarian programs, as well as for communication and entertainment."
