iciHaiti - USA : Resumption of repatriations of illegal Haitians
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, an agency of the Department of Homeland Security, working in close coordination with the entire department, including U.S. Customs and Border Protection, conducted a deportation flight of Haitians in an irregular immigration situation in accordance with U.S. law.

The United States organized a new deportation flight from Miami to Cap-Haitien on September 6, 2024, one day after Secretary of State Antony Blinken officially left Haiti.

This was the first such flight since July, despite calls throughout the year from advocates and organizations to refrain from doing so due to the deteriorating security situation. And after the United Nations refugee agency (UNHCR) said last May that Haitians returned to their country risked facing "life-threatening risks or further displacement..."
