iciHaiti - FLASH : Reminder of school contribution fees

On Wednesday, September 4th, 2024, the Ministry of National Education reminds in a note to the general public and the educational community in particular that the school contribution fees are set at 1,500 Gourdes in public schools for the 3rd cycle of fundamental and secondary education.

This amount must be used to cover a package of services including cleaning (painting) for the school, making leaflets, purchasing sheets for the assessment periods provided for in the school calendar and other related educational activities.

No head of a public school is authorized to claim additional fees. Any offender will be punished according to the regulations in force.

In addition, the MENFP takes this opportunity to remind that school contribution fees are prohibited for the 1st and 2nd cycles of Fundamentals (from the 1st to the 6th year), the State assumes the cost while allocating an amount of 400 Gourdes per student.

The Ministry asks the Departmental Directors of Education, with the support of the District and Zone Inspectors, to take all necessary measures for the full implementation of this measure.
