iciHaiti - Security : PM Visits 3 Wounded SWAT Agents
Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Mevs Hospital, Prime Minister Garry Conille, accompanied by Rameau Normil, Acting Director General of the Haitian National Police (PNH), paid a solidarity visit to the 3 SWAT officers, slightly injured during the major joint operation (with the Kenyans) aimed at dislodging the armed gangs of Bel-Air and Solino https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-43079-haiti-flash-first-major-joint-operation-kenya-pnh.html (operation still in progress)

"Today, I am visiting three of the courageous police officers who were injured during the operation launched to restore security in the country. I am happy to see the dedication they show to serve their country. My government will strengthen the work it has started to meet the needs of the police and ensure security everywhere, » declared Conille

"My presence is to support the valiant police officers shot in the exercise of their duties. I thank them, on behalf of the population, for their sacrifice [...] The Government will remain at their side and support them in this ordeal," explained the Prime Minister. "The sacrifice of the police officers will not be in vain. The restoration of security is the best testimony that we owe them 'Nou p ap fè bak'", concluded the Head of Government.
