The University Council, meeting in extraordinary session, adopted a resolution appointing Professor Marie Florence Mathieu, representative of the university sector to the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP).

Resolution of the Council of the State University of Haiti (CUEH) on the designation of a representative to the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP)

“Having regard to the Constitution of the Republic of Haiti, amended version, in its articles 208, 209 and 289;

Considering the Transitional Provisions of February 21, 1997 Relating to the Organization of the Central Administration of the UEH;

Considering the letter from the General Secretariat of the Presidency asking the UEH to participate in the designation of a representative of the university sector to the CEP;

Considering that the profile, academic and professional background as well as the vision of Professor Marie Florence MATHIEU meet the criteria indicated by the Presidency and the concerns of the University Council with regard to the designation of a member to the CEP ;

Considering that the interview of Professor Marie Florence MATHIEU with the University Council took place to the satisfaction of the Council;

Considering that the UEH is called upon to play its role in the process of seeking solutions to major national problems;

The University Council, meeting in extraordinary session on Thursday July 18, 2024, adopts the following resolution:

Article 1:

Professor Marie Florence MATHIEU is appointed by the University Council to represent the UEH within the Provisional Electoral Council.

Article 2:

The Executive Council of the UEH is responsible for monitoring and implementing this resolution.
