iciHaiti - Cité Soleil : Canal cleaning removes the risk of flooding

In Cité Soleil, the fear of the risk of flooding is fading thanks to the combined efforts of technicians from the West Departmental Directorate of the Ministry of Public Works.

Since June, technicians have been working tirelessly in cleaning, and mechanical removal operations in the communr of Cité Soleil. Several canals where rainwater, household waste and other rubbish are thrown towards the coast, have been cleaned at depth over hundreds of linear meters.

For this week from July 15 to 19, human and material resources were mobilized in the Lupp ravines (3 BB) and the ravine located in the Soleil 24 neighborhood, two important canals which cross the commune and which extend the list of works of drainage comprising 5 main channels.
