iciHaiti - Mexico : A lottery ticket commemorates 95 years of diplomatic relations with Haiti

The Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Lottery unveiled the lottery ticket for draw #3935, which commemorates 95 years of diplomatic relations between Mexico and Haiti based on cooperation, humanitarian aid and socio-cultural exchanges.

The unveiling of the note was chaired by the Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Latin America and the Caribbean, Imanol Belausteguigoitia Reyes who recalled that the first contact between Mexico and Haiti dates back to 1816, when General Francisco Javier Mina traveled to Haiti to discuss Mexican independence.

Marco Antonio Mena, the Director of the National Lottery, said the lottery tickets commemorate important events in Mexican history. The design highlights the friendship between the two nations and is the work of a Haitian-Mexican family.
