iciHaiti - Obituary : Grenadier Serge Ducoste passed away

The Haitian Football Federation (FHF) learned with dismay the news of the death Friday July 5, 2024 in the morning, after a long illness courageously endured, of the former defender of the Grenadiers (1969-1975) and captain of the Aigle Noir (1965-1975) Serge Ducoste at the age of 80,

"This former central defender devoted his entire sporting career to the training of Bel Air. A member of the 'Toup Pou Yo' generation, he had been present in Munich for the German World Cup in 1974, Ducoste (#5) had been established in central defense during the third and final Group match against Argentina.

The Haitian Football Federation takes this opportunity to present its sincere condolences to the members of his family but also its sympathies to friends, his former teammates from Aigle Noir and the National Selection and to all those affected by the mourning.

That his soul rests in peace.'
