Friday June 28, 2024, the career diplomat Ambassador of Haiti Guy G. Lamothe head of the Haitian diplomatic mission in Madrid (Spain) since January 2023 proceeded with the transfer of powers to Chargé d'Affaires Carl Eric Barthelus.

During the weekly meeting, Ambassador Lamothe took stock of his mission to the diplomats of the Embassy and highlighted the collaboration he has always had with Mr. Barthelus, to whom he expressed his wishes for fruitful success in the mission entrusted to him by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dominique Dupuy.

Chargé d'Affaires Barthelus, for his part, thanked Ambassador Lamothe for his vision of diplomacy, his spirit of sharing and the pursuit of his strategic thinking in the context of Haiti-Spain relations, while wishing him success in all his businesses.
