Haitian forward Melchie Dumornay (20 years old) aka "Corventina” from Olympique Lyonnais (OL) impressed throughout the 2023/2024 Union of European Football Associations Women's Champions League campaign (UEFA).

The UEFA panel of technical observers has named Melchie Dumornay as the 2023/2024 UEFA Women's Champions League Young Player of the Season.

The Lyon forward , who joined the club from Reims last year, scored twice and created three assists in five appearances in the tournament to help her team reach the final, where they were ultimately beaten [ 2-0] by Barcelona.

Dumornay won the Player of the Match title in both matches of OL's [5-3] victory in the semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

"Corventina" succeeds last season’s winner Lena Oberdorf from Wolfsburg (Germany) and the first winner of the award in 2021/22, Selma Bacha from OL.
