Friday May 24, 2024 in Port-au-Prince, the Haitian National Police (PNH) proceded to the arrest at Street La Montagne of Lemy Railey Toussaint and Jean Eliphète Bon Fritz, two former police officers and at Street 5, of Avril Carlos and Previlus Jamesley, accused of involvement with armed gangs operating in Village de Dieu and Bel-Air.
Former police officer Lemy Railey Toussaint, alias "Pa Vin Tchip", is accused of murdering a person near the Salomon market sub-police station. As for Jean Eliphète Bon Fritz, according to information available to the PNH, he would have been involved in the kidnapping of a businessman then stole his vehicle on December 10, 2022, at Street Capois. It would also have prevented with an autobud a police armored vehicle from continuing an operation against heavily armed individuals.
