In a note dated May 3rd, the Transitional Presidential Council expressed 'its deep desolation at the numerous losses of human lives and material damage recorded in the country's second city following the floods that hit the Great North https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-42259-icihaiti-cap-haitien-the-toll-of-bad-weather-increases-partial.html

The members of the Council bow before the remains of our brothers and sisters who tragically died as a result of this too many catastrophe that recently occurred in the locality of Labori near Barrière Bouteille https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-42249-haiti-flash-cap-haitien-at-least-12-people-dead-in-landslides.html

The resigning Government has been instructed to take all necessary measures to come to the aid of the victims and the families of the missing.

Finally, the Presidential Council, joining forces with Advisors from the Great North, invites residents of risk areas to observe all safety and prevention instructions emanating from the Directorate of Civil Protection and local authorities [...]"
