iciHaiti - South Biodiversity Project : Two agreements signed

Friday April 19, 2024, as part of the Biodiversity South project, financed by the Global Environment Facility, implemented by the Ministry of the Environment in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and executed by Heifer International, two agreements have been signed.

These agreements, concluded respectively with the Organization for the Rehabilitation of the Environment (ORE) located in Camp Perrin in the south of Haiti and AYITIKA S.A. producer of cocoa and chocolate, aim to develop 380 hectares of cultivated agroforestry plots with coffee, mango and cashew nuts, benefiting 1,520 farmers.

At the same time, 120 hectares of cocoa-based agroforestry systems will be set up for the benefit of 480 farmers.
