iciHaiti - USA : 23,000 illegal Haitians intercepted at the southern border in January 2024
Migration pressure on the southern borders of the United States with Mexico is increasing alarmingly with a growing number of people in an irregular migratory situation entering American territory illegally every day.

According to statistics from the Bureau of Customs and Border Protection, 163,947 nationals from different countries were intercepted and arrested only in January 2024.

#1 Mexico: 61,272 Mexicans
#2 Haiti: 23,000 Haitians (741 interceptions on average each day)
#3 Cuba: 22,946 Cubans
#4 Guatemala: 20,424 Guatemalans
#5 Venezuela: 16,566 Venezuelans
#6 Nicaragua: 9,794 Nicaraguans
#7 Honduras: 9,222 Hondurans
