iciHaiti - Health : Report of the National Ambulance Center (2023) 28/01/2024 08:43:33 Of the 9,118 cases supported by the CAN from January to December 2023, transfers (37%) and obstetric emergencies (21%) were the two most important interventions. Number and types of interventions: 89 confirmed cases of cholera; 165 suspected cases of cholera; 695 cases of respiratory distress (not associated with Covid-19); 651 cases of chronic diseases (various pathologies); 1946 obstetric emergencies; 719 Public Road Accidents; 3337 transfers (references and laboratory examinations); 588 traumas (injuries & fractures of varying degrees); 69 gunshot wounds; 147 stab wounds; 32 cases of burns 680 various conditions (discomfort, diarrhea, fever, anemia, abdominal pain, etc...) Of the 9,118 cases supported by the CAN: 5,482 interventions took place in the West, 1,085 in Artibonite, 688 in the North-West, 658 in the North/North-East, 504 in the South-East, 378 in the South, 198 in Nippes, 125 in Grand'Anse.
