iciHaiti - Ouanaminthe : Arrest of the border gate chain cutter

Principal Commissioner Léonard Anténor, Head of Border Police (PoliFRONT) in the North-East, confirmed that on Saturday January 6, 2024 around 8:00 a.m., Edford Charles was arrested by judicial decision in Ouanaminthe as he was preparing to travel to Dominican territory.
Edford Charles is accused of being the one who voluntarily cut at the end of November 2023, the chains which had kept the border gate of the bridge on the Haitian side closed for three months.
Principal Commissioner Léonard Anténor informs that Edford Charles has been transferred to the Departmental Judicial Police Service, (SDPJ - North-East), for interrogation and further procedures.
