iciHaiti - NOTICE to UEH Students : Translation and declamation competition

As part of the celebration of the 220th anniversary of Haiti's independence on January 1st, 2024 and International Mother Language Day on February 21st, 2024, the Rectorate of the State University of Haiti (UEH) launched a translation and declamation competition "Together with the independence of the country with Dessalines’ Speech".

The translation of the texts will be done in the Haitian Creole language and this competition is organized under the aegis of the Department of Student Life and the Haitian Creole Academy (AKA).

20 students with the best translation will have to deliver the speech and read it in front of a jury composed of members of the UEH and members of the Haitian Creole Academy.

The grand final of this competition will take place on February 21, 2024 :

Bonus :
- 1st prize: laptop + set of 20 books + medal;
- 2nd prize: laptop + set of 15 books + medal;
- 3rd prize: laptop + a set of 10 books + medal;
- 4th prize: set of 10 books + medal;
- 5th prize: set of 10 books + medal.

Deadline for students to submit their translation of the text to the dean of the facult y: Friday January 19, 2024.
