iciHaiti - Central Plateau : Graduation of 60 students from the Public University of the Center 14/12/2023 09:31:55
This graduation ceremony took place on December 10 at the Auditorium of the Municipal Library of Hinche, in the presence of the University Council, the University community of the Center, police, religious, civil and political authorities. The graduates were welcomed by the master of ceremonies, Fresly Jean, who delivered the welcome words and congratulated the recipients for having successfully completed their undergraduate university training.  Rector Nahum Lafleur presented the results of his achievements since his installation in February 2020 at the head of the UPC and presented in a few lines prospects for future years "By going from three faculties to four, we saw an increase in 13 graduates to 250, and the university began to publish scientific articles in indexed journals. Several of our former students have succeeded in integrating post-graduate studies with the support of the Rectorate." "Our objective is to keep pace with our times which are moving enthusiastically towards globalization, where technical and educational requirements are present. Requirements that apply to all people. With great ambition and without pretension, the UPC has given itself the constant mission of seeking quality and excellence in all its areas of activity. [...] With this in mind, the UPC plans to set up this year a department dedicated to the promotion of gender equality and develop partnerships in order to also promote the involvement of Artificial Intelligence in the university curriculum."
