iciHaiti - Les Cayes : Integration of Environmental Education 26/11/2023 08:42:23
Organized by the Departmental Directorates of the Haitian Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of National Education, within the framework of "adaptation to climate change and reduction of disaster risks in school infrastructures" financed by the Adaptation to Change Funds climatic; the objective is to promote the integration of ERE into formal education programs. The integration of the ERE will bring the personal and societal transformation necessary to be resilient and adapt to an uncertain and complex future, while actively and creatively contributing to the well-being of people and the entire Haitian community by leveraging on the Man-Nature aspect. Published in the Official Journal of the Republic of Haiti, Le Moniteur, on January 15, 2021, this Decree is binding on the school, university, technical and professional communities. UNESCO remains committed to providing support to the authorities, educational professionals and students of Haiti, and exploring the possibility of cooperation to support the exchange of good practices in education for sustainable development.
