iciHaiti - Health : Report of the National Ambulance Center (October 2023)
The National Ambulance Center (CAN) has provided us with its summary statistical assessment of the pre-hospital care of various emergency cases carried out by the Center during the month of October 2023.

Of the 858 cases supported by the CAN in October 2023 (+40.88% compared to the previous month https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-40700-icihaiti-health-report-of-the-national-ambulance-center-september-2023.html ), transfers (38%) and obstetric emergencies (30%) were the two most important items.

Number and types of interventions:
2 confirmed cases of cholera;
10 suspected cases of cholera;
65 cases of respiratory distress (not associated with Covid-19);
49 cases of chronic diseases (various pathologies);
256 obstetric emergencies;
52 Public Road Accidents;
330 transfers (references and laboratory examinations);
17 traumas (injuries & fractures of varying degrees);
8 gunshot wounds;
9 stab wounds;
2 cases of burns
58 various conditions (malaise, diarrhea, fever, anemia, abdominal pain, etc...)

Of the 858 cases supported by the CAN: 499 interventions took place in the West, 102 in Artibonite, 72 in the North-West, 66 in the North/North-East, 62 in the South-East, 39 in the South, 15 in Nippes, 3 in Grand'Anse.
