iciHaiti - Spain : Signature of a framework agreement to strengthen cultural cooperation
Following the meeting of June 15, 2023 between the Embassy of Haiti near the Kingdom of Spain and the "Circula de Bellas Artes" (CBA), a framework collaboration agreement was signed on October 31 between the two countries in with a view to strengthening cultural cooperation.

While the CBA is expanding its network of embassy partners accredited in Spain, Haiti, for its part, will be part of this private institution intended to promote art and culture, on par with several European countries. .

Through this agreement, both Parties undertake to:

1) Establish a framework for institutional cooperation between them with a view to promoting joint activities linked to culture;

2) Develop a specific agreement for each of the joint programs envisaged, in which the work plan, the proposed objectives and the means necessary for their achievement will be determined;

3) Establish a joint coordination commission composed of representatives of the two institutions and responsible for studying proposals for specific agreements.

It should be noted that Haiti will be the first country in the Caribbean to join this institution. "Our joining in the CBA will allow the Embassy to promote Haitian culture and art through exhibitions, film screenings, literature, philosophy and the performing arts, among others," underlined Ambassador Lamothe.
