"We have a duty, as a people with a great history, to defend our identity, despite all the obstacles we face from the time of the colony until today," writes the BNE As the scientific laboratory of the people, the National Bureau of Ethnology seeks to bring out the essence of us as Haitians, and to put them on the high road so that we know that it is from what comes from our roots, from our culture, that we can build the Haiti that we dream of, that our Haitian ancestors offered us. We have a responsibility, as Haitians, to respect, understand and value where we come from, our ancestors and the legacy they left us. On this special day, the National Bureau of Ethnology presents its respects to all Haitians who live on the land of Father Dessalines and everywhere !
