Recently, a planning meeting for a memorandum of understanding took place between the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Haitian National Police (PNH).

During a visit by a high Haitian delegation to Washington, led by the Minister of Justice, the Haitian and American Governments agreed on the principle of signing in the coming days a Memorandum of Understanding between the "Homeland Security Investigations (HSI)" and the Haitian National Police (PNH) to fight against transnational crimes, particularly against illicit firearms trafficking and financial crimes.
