iciHaiti - Cap-Haitien : Towards an increasing of municipal revenues
The Cap-Haitien Municipal Commission had frank, substantive and constructive discussions with "Cities Alliance" and its partners as part of the IMRIS program Increasing Municipal Revenues to Improve Services.

Indeed, a recently signed collaboration between USAID and Cities Alliance should provide support to Haitian municipalities including the commune of Cap-Haïtien.

Yvrose Pierre, the Mayor of Cap-Haitien stressed the importance of this meeting and of maintaining open communication channels within the framework of the execution of this project, in order to reduce the risk of erroneous perception of stakeholders.

The objective of the IMRIS project activity is to increase the provision of municipal services and achieve sustainable local economic development in the municipality.

The activity is intended to particularly address the needs in solid waste management, including recycling, which will be a critical area of focus for increasing municipal service delivery.
