iciHaiti - Agriculture : Technical support from FAO in the fight against African Swine Fever 04/10/2023 10:04:22
This workshop organized by the Ministry of Agriculture in virtual and face-to-face mode proposes to validate the elements necessary for the formulation of a revised version of the National Plan for the Eradication of African Swine Fever. This National Plan for eradication and control of ASF in Haiti will include an emergency phase and an eradication phase. The 1st focuses on screening, awareness, training, information & control of animal movements. The second phase of the Plan and the fight against ASF in Haiti concerns the establishment of permanent central and decentralized veterinary structures. FAO is committed to continuing its support for the coordination of the response and the efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture in the fight against ASF, poverty reduction and improvement of food security.
