On Saturday September 9, a crane was seen on the west bank of the tributary as it laid sections which will be coupled to form the water main.

To the impasse created between the two nations by the unilateral action of a group of Haitian citizens on the banks of the Massacre River [...]"
For his part, Santiago Riverón, the mayor of Dajabón, asks the Dominicans to support President Abinader's decision to close the border in part of the province, "given the rebellious attitude that the Haitians maintain in the pursuit of construction illegal Canal."
