iciHaiti - Diaspora NOTICE : Red weather alert in Spain
The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) in Spain, extended this Sunday, September 3rd to the entire Community of Madrid the maximum red alert, which was already activated at 11 p.m. Saturday for the South, Las Vegas and the West of this region as well as La Mancha Toledo-Toledo in Castilla.

The red alert is decreed in the face of the risk of accumulation of 120 liters of water per square meter in 12 hours and locally even more and that these rains fall torrentially, that is to say with an intensity of more than 10 liters in 10 minutes.

"These are extraordinary quantities that can have a significant impact, so you have to be careful," warns the Aemet.

This Sunday, the agency expects persistent and widespread rainfall, which may be locally heavy or very heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms, to occur throughout the country, with the exception of the Canary Islands.

Besides Madrid and Castilla-La Mancha, nine other autonomous regions are on high alert.
