iciHaiti - UEH : Launch of the Commerce and Industry Chair

Tuesday, August 29, 2023, Fritz Deshommes, the Rector of the State University of Haiti (UEH) and Ricardin Saint-Jean the Minister of Trade and Industry (MCI), launched at the Rectorate, the "Commerce and Industry Chair" at the UEH. The ceremony took place in the presence of members of the Rector's cabinet, executives of the two institutions and students of the UEH...

The launch of this chair is a logical follow-up to the four cooperation agreements signed on August 19, 2022 between the UEH and the MCI https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-37516-haiti-politic-details-of-the-4-agreements-signed-between-the-ueh-and-the-mci.html

The activities relating to this chair will begin at the UEH from the academic year 2023-2024 at the level of the main establishment entities, in particular at the National Institute of Administration, Management and Higher International Studies (INAGHEI) and the Faculty of Law and Economics (FDSE).

Supported by the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Commerce and Industry Chair is based on three priority areas:

Training which can be carried out by both UEH teachers and MCI executives;
Studies and Research which, if necessary, may be commissioned by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry;
The Popularization which will allow the UEH and the MCI to program activities for the dissemination and popularization of scientific knowledge (conferences, seminars, symposiums, etc...)
