Friday, August 25, 2023, Ronald Gabriel, Director General of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH), was honored by the Institute of Sciences, Technologies and Advanced Studies of Haiti (ISTEAH) as Doctor "Honoris Causa". Recognition of its impact on the economy, education, science and ecology.

Mr. Gabriel, former chief economist, expert in macroeconomics, public finance and monetary policy, he holds a master's degree in economics and finance from the University of Montreal and a license from the Center for Planning and Development Techniques of Applied Economics (CTPEA), is one of the pillars of the BRH with more than 33 years of service.

Mr. Gabriel has been coordinating the activities of the BRH Training Institute since 2015. He has also been directing the BRH Fund for Research and Development since 2019. He has shared his economic expertise at the international level as an advisor to the International Monetary Fund (IMF)
