ici Haiti - Insecurity : 23.7% of Digicel subscribers have left Carrefour Feuilles…
Increased gang violence since August 12, 2023 in the Carrefour-Feuilles and Savanes Pistache neighborhoods in Port-au-Prince has triggered significant changes in the location of subscribers in these and surrounding areas.

Estimates derived from Digicel mobile telephone metadata (Call Detail Records, CDRs) suggest that at least 5,366 Digicel subscribers may have left the affected area between August 12 and 19, 2023 (or approximately 23.7% of subscribers residing in the affected area).

Most of these subscribers have sought refuge in neighboring neighborhoods of the commune of Port-au-Prince. To a lesser extent, they settled in the communes of Delmas and Pétion-Ville, and a minimal number of them moved to Carrefour.

It should also be noted that 32 neighborhoods experienced more than 50 displaced subscribers. The rankings are detailed in Table 1 on page 2 of the report, highlighting the areas with the most displaced subscribers.
