iciHaiti - Politic : Launch of the Feminist Summer University 20/08/2023 09:51:16
The Feminist Summer University is part of a dynamic of awareness and advocacy leading civil society leaders to better equip themselves to fight against gender inequalities and promote women's rights. Its 10-day program aims to train and inform about sixty young girls about gender equality and women's rights. According to Minister Loréus, the Summer Feminist University is a way for target groups to acquire theoretical training related to gender equality and women's rights during the summer under the responsibility of organizations that are at the basis of the project. It is an event dedicated exclusively to strengthening the Haitian women's rights movement. Ler's recall that the Feminist Summer University is an initiative of "Karavan Fanm pou Chanjman" and the Solidarity of Haitian Women Journalists (SOFEHJ) in collaboration with the Office of Citizen Protection (OPC), the Citizen Initiative for a Responsible Youth (ICJR), the "Federasyon Òganizasyon Fanm ki nan Lwès pou Egalite" (FOFALE) and the Panos Institute (IP).
