iciHaiti - Culture : The National Theater of Haiti launched the Théodore Beaubrun workshop
The Direction of the National Theater of Haiti has started an artistic workshop, bearing the name of the great Haitian humorist and actor, Théodore Beaubrun. This workshop is based on Theatre, dance and traditional music. The aim is to train more than fifty young people in these three disciplines. These activities take place until September 1sr, 2023, at the Kiosque Occide Jeanty at the Champ de Mars.

With the support of the Ministry of Culture and Communication, this artistic workshop organized each year by the National Theater of Haiti, wants to allow young people to discover and better recognize the great artists who have marked Haitian culture through their works but also to make young people understand the importance of personalities who have marked Haitian culture.

Last year, this workshop was dedicated to Jacques Stephen Alexis. And this year, it is made in honor of Théodore Beaubrun alias "Languichate"

In order to develop the talent of young artists and their creative potential in the fields of theatre, dance and traditional music, around thirty young people have already registered to participate in the workshop. These young people, from different backgrounds, are called upon to transmit this training in their respective neighborhoods and create their own cultural enterprise, to promote artistic communication.
