iciHaiti - Cap-Haitien : Official commemoration of the 220th anniversary of the flag (Program)

The Commemorative Ceremonies of the 220th anniversary of the creation of our flag will take place in the North on May 17 and 18, 2023 in the presence of Prime Minister a.i. Ariel Henry among others.

Activity schedule:

Day 1: May 17, 2023 at 5 p.m. at King Henry University (Lemonade)
Celebration of Tribute and Distinctions to Haitian Teachers
Presentation of honor plaques, shows, cultural activities and cocktails.

Day 2: May 18, 2023, Cathedral Square (Cap-Haitien)
7:30 a.m.: Arrival of the Officials on the Square
8:00 a.m.: Sending of the Flag
Floral offering at the monument of Emperor Jean Jacques Dessalines on the Place, followed by Te Deum at the Cathedral

At the end of the Te Deum at Boulevard du Cap-Haitien:
Demonstrations of homage to the Flag
Parade of Majorettes, military parades, speeches.

The official lunch will be offered at the Town Hall of the City
